New Deal Adviser

Is Colin Qualified, and a Member of a Professional Body?

Yes: Colin only lists the qualifications he has had certificated training for (he has also had a lot of non-certified training) and is a member of several professional bodies. He is also fully insured as a Coach, Trainer and Therapist. See the Qualifications and Professional Bodies page for a list.

History

Colin Ellis has been in full practice since 2004. However, he has been studying and practicing therapies for over 15 years. He has specialised in helping people overcome the blocks stopping them from being all they can be.

He has also been teaching personal development and Self Help techniques for over 12 years via colleges, University, Adult Education establishments and Training Providers in Newcastle and Glasgow in the UK. He has written and published many articles on aspects of Personal Growth. He has also been employed in various capacities (including a New Deal Adviser for the unemployed (ND25+) and disabled (NDDP) with WorkAble; plus a company director...).

Plus he has studied Tibetan Buddhism and meditation (including doing long retreats), Hypnotherapy, Coaching, NLP, Thought Field Therapy, Time Line Therapy, and many other personal development success tools.

Values and Ethics

Affordability is a concern as well as professionalism, so you can be assured Colin keeps fees to a minimum yet his training has been to a very high standard. Colin adheres to a strict code of conduct, as defined by his Professional Bodies, and seeks excellence in his own practice via Continual Professional Development (CPD) - hence all his certificates.

More importantly than acquiring certificates, Colin is passionate in his study and research of personal development – and those things that can thwart progress (e.g. stress) - which led him naturally to studying therapies and eventually self-sabotage in all it’s manifestations.

The best way to find out if Colin is genuine and can really help you, is to take him up on a free 1/2 hour consultation to discuss your requirements. Use the contact page to email him now, or get the phone number.
